Hey you! I'm Cat, a writer & photographer, Land steward, mother, gardener, maker of things, student of plants, shepherdess, and fiber artist - and I wear so many other hats!

My family and I live on the hills of Western Iberia, my native land, where we dwell in a small 100-year-old stone cottage rebuilt with our own hands. We live surrounded by oak and olive trees, vegetable and herb gardens, a chatty group of chickens, cuddly brown sheep, and other pets. Local and seasonal resources make our hearts sing, and we believe in the strength of community and trade. To us, these represent acts of resistance and social empowerment. They may be small steps towards a better, more just world, but they make a difference locally.

I weave writing and photography together as my favorite means of expression. So, in this little corner, you will find musings on everyday life, botanical crafts, Land-tending adventures, foraging and cooking, and the magic of living life right alongside Nature. I am deeply inspired by the landscape I call home and the seasons, and my mind is always bubbling with the next adventure!
